Transferwise multi-currency account for travellers, expats and freelancers

Transferwise’s customers can transfer their money overseas without paying excessive rates; this company helps customers to pay rates up to 10 times less that any traditional bank.

With the Mastercard debit card that is issued by Transferwise, people who travel abroad can spend in the destination currency, as approximately 50 currencies are available for exchanging.

As an example, customers can compare, for exchanging GBP 250 to EUR, paying a GBP23.55 rate they would pay at Santander against paying GBP1.54 at Transferwise.
