Review on Soldo – Joined up spending, effortless expenses
What exactly is Soldo?
This is an app that enables companies and small businesses to have multiple Mastercard-issued prepaid cards, so that employees and departments can centralize payments and expenses by using these issued cards; besides, as transactions are captured in real time at the point of purchase, it is much easier for accounting and finance departments to track each card’s spending, manage budgets, and export related data into the company’s accounting records.
Soldo is capable to offer three available plans that suit each customer’s needs, such as:
- Soldo Pro: GBP5.00 per card per month, which includes prepaid cards, mobile app and administrative web console, spending controls for each user, on-the-spot receipt capture and enriched transaction data, free deposits and withdrawals from domestic accounts and Instant and free fund transfers to users.
- Soldo Premium: GBP9.00 per card per month, which also includes customizable cards for teams, projects or company expenses, configurable roles for users: admins, managers, external bookkeepers and others, advanced reporting with filters by period, currency, user and more
- Soldo Enterprise, with plans tailored for each need (over 30 cards), which also includes a dedicated Customer Success Manager, custom onboarding and product training and advanced integration with your systems (through APIs)
In my opinion, I think that Soldo is a robust and affordable investment that can provide a large deal of value, especially for SMBs. For those larger companies, the chance of integrating Soldo with their accounting systems though APIs is a true competitive edge over other players.
Besides, Soldo looks easy to use (with a clean interface) and has a similar business model to other related apps, so the onboarding experience looks easy at first sight.
