What exactly is Volt Bank?

Volt Bank is a neobank, whose sole focus as of today is the individual Aussie segment, especially aiming to those customers who are willing to enter an only smartphone-based banking model. This means, in other words, that Volt will not be having any physical branches nor telephone support. 

As customers join Volt Bank’s waiting list (as Volt is currently in Beta phase), they will be able to register for the Volt Savings Account and Volt App, but not in a straight-forward way: have t log on to to Volt’s website and enter data such as name and email address, for Volt to send them an email with a link to download the app, whether these customers use iOS or Android.

Once customers have downloaded the app, they will be able to sign up to an account, but still they are required to supply a few additional personal details including, for example, their tax file number.
